I was born and raised in Mill Valley, CA. I spent many creative years living in Los Angeles before returning to the Bay Area. I am currently living and working in Petaluma, CA. I went to California College of Art (& Craft) and then worked and studied at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. I have gathered inspiration from being a set & event decorator, floral designer, graphic designer and artist. I am currently pursing a path full of art, illustration and design. I set out, many years ago at CCA(C)to create design that felt handmade & warm. At the time the technology didn't exist to support that. We were doing type layouts on Xerox machines! But today, it's all coming together with digital brushes and amazing fonts. I'm finding my way in that balance, everyday. Follow me and see where it leads.
I have three kids with a ten year age span, six chickens and one cat in a tiny post-war house on a lovely long lot in Petaluma, CA. I love pizza, coffee, baskets more than handbags, the beach, collecting shells & rocks and redwood forest mushroom hunting. I make as much food from scratch as possible, grow what I can and get a farm box every week from our friends in Penngrove. I collect fresh eggs everyday just like I did when I was a child - sharing that with my kids means the world to me. My studio is in our tiny garage that looks out at our backyard - it's a dream come true to have a light filled space that I can create in everyday - even if I have to share it with the washer and dryer!
